Within the picturesque district of Swalele stands a family house with an undeniable charm. 

It does not differ from the classic style of the surrounding houses, characterized by deep but very narrow spaces, as it suffers from very little natural light and gives a sense of being confined.

Looking to bring a quality of space and a warm atmosphere to the house, the challenge was to counterbalance the classic style of the house without denaturing it. By reimagining the layout, we were able to conceive qualities of space in a complex setting caused by having double landings.

It is through the morphology of space, materials and colours that we answered the needs of the future inhabitants.
